Meet the Team

Jake is a renewable energy developer with five years of experience in project development and finance across the Central US. At Apex, he works closely with landowners, local governments, and colleagues to build projects that strengthen local economies, invest in future generations, and support long-term community resilience. A lifelong Minnesotan, Jake believes that clean energy has the power to bring people together—across geographies, backgrounds, and perspectives. He’s passionate about building partnerships rooted in trust, transparency, and shared benefit. Outside of work, Jake enjoys cooking for family and friends, exploring new places, and spending time outdoors in all seasons.

Anna Richey is Director of Public Engagement at Apex. Anna's career has included managing local, state, and federal campaigns, and working in and around government for the better part of two decades. Before joining Apex in 2021, she worked in the nonprofit sector, leading energy policy development in rural Minnesota. This experience solidified a passion for clean energy and how it can contribute to the stability and revitalization of rural areas, particularly. Now, she oversees Apex's community outreach efforts in the western half of the country, as well as Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas, directly. When she's not working, she's fishing Minnesota's abundant lakes and rivers.
